Chief Practice and Revenue Officer
- Serves as chief practice and revenue officer for the firm.
- Leads the firm’s initiatives in practice management, client value and operations.
- Oversees the strategic implementation and execution of various practice group strategies and operational efficiency efforts aimed at supporting and enhancing legal service delivery.
- Focuses on communication of matter economics to promote transparency, predictability and uphold client value.
Josette leads the firm’s practice management, client value, research and competitive/market intelligence and environmental sustainability operations. She spearheads initiatives at the practice group level and in the firm’s operations across Akin’s offices worldwide.
A member of the firm’s senior leadership team, Josette advances Akin’s growth strategy with a client-focused approach to practice management and revenue optimization. Josette’s role encompasses practice group strategy, revenue management, financial analytics, talent management, pricing, legal project management, and research and competitive/market intelligence and analysis.
Throughout her career, Josette has been a systems thinker and strategist delivering tailored solutions that optimize client value while prioritizing communication and collaboration. She leverages data-driven insights, competitive intelligence and financial analytics to optimize revenue and create operational efficiencies.
In addition to working closely with lawyers across the firm, Josette and her team regularly collaborate with all business service units to deliver best-in-class client services. Josette also works directly with clients, including in-house legal operations teams, to facilitate enhanced legal service delivery.
At the helm of Akin’s environmental sustainability initiatives and climate commitments, Josette brings to bear a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to sustainability planning and operations.
Josette has worked in the legal industry for the past 25 years, including nearly 20 years of experience in practice management and client value at leading international law firms. She began her career as a practicing attorney in the structured finance group and later as a litigator at two large national firms.
