Julio is an associate in the international trade practice, where he advises clients on a wide range of matters. He primarily focuses on compliance and regulatory issues related to U.S. customs and import controls.
Before joining Akin, Julio was an attorney-advisor at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Trade, Regulations and Rulings Directorate, where he specialized in tariff classification. He earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where he served as an associate competitions editor on the Moot Court Board and as a student worker with the Lincoln Square Legal Services’ Community Economic Development Clinic.
