Kaila is an associate in the firm’s financial restructuring practice. She advises debtors, creditors and other stakeholders in chapter 11 proceedings and complex restructuring transactions.
Before joining the firm, Kaila was a legal intern for the Boston Celtics. Prior to that, she was a paralegal for a litigation firm in New York and a judicial intern for the Honorable Matthew Hughes of the Suffolk County Family Court.
Kaila earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where she was the managing editor of the Review of Banking and Finance Law. During law school, Kaila was the vice president of Professional Development for the Business Law Society and a member of the Women’s Law Association and Sports Law Student Association. Kaila earned her B.A. magna cum laude from Loyola University.

- Purdue Pharma: Counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the chapter 11 cases of Purdue Pharma and its affiliates, the privately held pharmaceutical company and maker of OxyContin, involving over a trillion dollars of asserted claims.
- Wheel Pros, Inc.: Counsel to an ad hoc group of term loan lenders and noteholders in connection with the prepackaged chapter 11 cases of Wheel Pros, Inc., a leader in automotive aftermarket products, involving $1.7 billion in liabilities.
- Nanostring Technologies: Counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the chapter 11 cases of NanoString Technologies, a publicly held biotechnology company, involving over $280 million in liabilities. Distressed M&A Deal of the Year – Over $100MM (M&A Advisor)
- MultiPlan Corporation: Counsel to an ad hoc group of cross holders in connection of a debt exchange offer of MultiPlan, a health care cost-management solutions company.
- Rhodium Enterprises: Counsel to an ad hoc group of SAFE holders in the chapter 11 cases of Rhodium, a bitcoin mining company, involving over $100 million in liabilities.
- Revlon: Counsel to an ad hoc group of secured term loan lenders in the chapter 11 cases of Revlon and its affiliates, a personal care and cosmetics company that sells its products in approximately 150 countries, involving $3.5 billion in liabilities.
