- Supports private capital clients in structuring tailored equity and hybrid financing solutions across industries, including in complex, distressed, and special situation transactions.
Lauren is an associate in the firm’s global capital solutions team. She assists special situations investors, private equity sponsors, global asset managers, other strategic stakeholders and their portfolio companies in a wide array of complex corporate transactions. Her practice includes corporate structuring, preferred and structured equity investments, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and general corporate governance.
Lauren was an Akin summer associate. Prior to joining Akin, Lauren worked at the Lincoln Center Legal Services Inc. Entrepreneurial Law Clinic. Prior to that, Lauren interned at a prominent private equity firm based in New York City. She earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Fordham University School of Law.
Before attending law school, Lauren was a litigation paralegal for a personal injury law firm based in New York City. She earned her B.A. in history from Emory University.
