Biography
Liam is an associate in Akin’s financial restructuring group. He has experience advising on restructurings, stressed and distressed refinancings as well as broader corporate and credit transactions.
Representative Work
- Air Baltic: Counsel to the global coordinators in respect of Air Baltic's secured high yield bond refinancing and subsequent tap issuance.
- Metro Bank: Counsel to Metro Bank Holdings in securing a £925m capital package, involving new money equity and debt funding as well as a refinancing of existing debt securities agreed with various ad hoc groups of bondholders.
- Metro Bank: Counsel to Metro Bank in connection with the introduction of Metro Bank Holdings as the new holding company of the Group to comply with the Bank of England’s preferred resolution strategy, implemented by way of scheme of arrangement.
- Nitrogénművek: Counsel to Nitrogénművek to amend and extend its existing debt securities agreed with an ad hoc group of bondholders.
- Solvay: Counsel to Solvay in connection with the separation of Solvay into two independent publicly traded companies via Belgian partial demerger, and the related tender offers and consent solicitations concerning the Group’s existing debt securities.
- Vodafone: Counsel to the solicitation agent in connection with the amendment and extension of Vodafone Ukraine’s existing debt securities agreed with an ad hoc group of bondholders.
