Matthew advises on a broad array of issues related to ethics, professional responsibility, risk management and compliance to support the firm’s offices worldwide. These include resolving conflict-of-interest situations, advising on ethical questions and developing firm policies to support ethics and compliance best practices.

He has significant experience providing counsel on conflicts of interest, contract negotiations and in interpreting rules of ethics and professional conduct.

Prior to joining Akin, Matthew served as a conflicts attorney at another global law firm. He also practiced as a litigator at legal services organizations in New York City.
