Matthew is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice. He assists clients in a variety of litigation matters.
Prior to joining Akin, Matthew was an attorney at a nationally prominent boutique firm specializing in complex financial litigation. His experience includes representing shareholders, bankruptcy trustees and lenders in lawsuits involving fraudulent transfers, director & officer (D&O) liability and fraud.
Matthew previously clerked for the Honorable Elizabeth L. Branch of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the Honorable Drew B. Tipton of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Matthew graduated with honors from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served as an articles editor for the Georgia Law Review.
