- Provides a wide range of advice to the firm on all employment practices and related issues.
Meredith provides counsel on a broad array of employment law-related matters and drives related risk mitigation across Akin’s offices to align with and advance key strategic initiatives of the firm.
Meredith advises on all areas that involve the relationship between the firm and its lawyers and business services professionals, including recruiting, hiring, compensation, promotions, performance management and employee relations. She also has significant experience leading internal investigations and in handling claims and employment-related litigation.
Prior to joining Akin, Meredith served as Deputy Chief Employment Counsel at another leading international law firm. She advised on the firm’s employment law-related needs worldwide and mitigated potential related risk. Prior to that, Meredith led the employment law and litigation functions in a number of in-house leadership roles, including serving as the Vice President of Litigation & Employment Law at a global public technology company. There, she built and led the global Litigation & Employment Law team, and she oversaw all matters pertaining to employment law and litigation for the company.
