- Represents private fund managers, sponsors, investors and other market participants in establishing and growing their businesses.
- Advises clients on regulatory, compliance and internal operations.
Naphtalie guides clients on the formation and operation of private investment funds, including private equity funds, credit funds and hedge funds. She represents institutional investors investing in a broad array of strategies. She also advises investment advisers on their obligations under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act and related regulations.
Prior to joining Akin, Naphtalie was an investment funds associate at another global law firm in Dallas, where she worked across verticals, including funds of funds, secondaries and registered funds. She was previously a private equity associate at another large law firm, where she represented private equity sponsors in complex business transactions, including in the real estate sector. Prior to law school, she worked as a real estate agent in the Dallas area.
Naphtalie received her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, where she was a recipient of the Dean's Distinguished Scholarship and the Ann Watson Barber Outstanding Service Award. She earned her B.A. in political science from the University of Texas at Dallas.
