Nicole “Nicki” A. Ghazarian-Foye is a Policy Advisor in the Lobbying & Public Policy group at Akin, focusing on advising clients regarding developments in the trade policy and legal realms. Previously, Nicki was an associate in the international trade and investment practice at Hogan Lovells, where she advised clients on trade compliance and regulatory matters, including export controls, sanctions, CFIUS, and customs issues, including the implications of tariffs for client businesses.

Prior to joining the firm, Nicki held roles across government, legal, and international policy organizations, including the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Center for Justice and Accountability, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and other global energy and development initiatives based in both Washington, D.C. and throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Her work has focused on international trade policy, human rights, and regulatory and legal frameworks in emerging markets.

Nicki holds a J.D. and M.P.P. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
