Nwadi advises clients on a range of corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and regularly collaborates with cross-practice teams to support clients through all stages of complex deals.
Prior to joining Akin, Nwadi was an M&A associate at another global law firm in New York, where she also completed a secondment with the investment banking division of a leading financial institution. Nwadi co-led the firm’s associate-run inclusion network, which focused on enhancing diversity and representation for African-American members of the firm.
Nwadi received a J.D. from Tulane Law School, where she served as senior editor of the Sports Law Journal and was a legal research and writing senior fellow. Nwadi holds a B.A. in journalism with a minor in Spanish from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
