Patrick represents companies on a range of antitrust and trade matters, including merger reviews conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), domestic and international antitrust litigation and government investigations. His work crosses many industries, including healthcare, energy, technology and retail.
Prior to joining Akin, Patrick was an associate at several large global law firms in Washington, D.C., advising clients on international and domestic competition and trade laws, legislative strategies, appropriations and congressional developments.
Patrick earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2021, where he was awarded the Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar honor for academic achievement. During law school, he was a pro bono scholar with New York Lawyers for the Public Interest and interned with the 15th Judicial District Public Defender’s Office in Lafayette, Louisiana. Patrick holds a B.A. in Political Science from Vanderbilt University and has studied at the University of Oxford, the University of Edinburgh and American University.
Outside of his legal practice, Patrick is actively involved with NGOs and nonprofits focused on providing humanitarian aid overseas.
