Paul advises Akin offices throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East on the legal and ethical pursuit of client objectives. As part of his role, Paul is actively involved in issues impacting the firm’s management of risk and client relations. These often include resolving conflicts-of-interest situations, negotiating contracts entered into by the firm, responding to ad hoc queries for ethics and other legal advice and assisting in the development of firm policies to support compliance best practices.
Prior to joining the firm, he began his career as a corporate lawyer at another leading international law firm, where he counseled clients in connection with private equity investments and fund formations, mergers and acquisitions, debt financings, corporate governance and general corporate matters.
Paul earned his J.D. degree from the Syracuse University College of Law, where he studied at the Institute for National Security and Counterterrorism and earned a certificate in national security and counterterrorism law.
