Reed is an associate in the litigation practice and advises clients on a range of matters, drawing on his extensive experience in legal research, motion drafting and discovery management.

Prior to joining Akin, Reed served as a law clerk for the Honorable Anne Hwang of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and as a floater clerk, assisting multiple judges and their chambers. He was also previously an associate at another global law firm in Los Angeles, where he led discovery reviews in multiple matters and advised clients in the automotive, health care, real estate and commercial product sectors. He also spent time on secondment with an automotive manufacturer, providing counsel on its deal-franchise network.

Reed received his J.D. cum laude from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where he was a staff and associate editor for the UC Irvine Law Review and participated in moot court. He also holds a B.A. from the University of California, Irvine.
