Has experience advising on corporate and financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, cross-border transactions, investment funds, and restructurings.
Samir is an associate in the tax practice of Akin’s London office, with a focus on US-tax.
Samir advises on a wide range of US-tax matters, particularly in relation to investment funds, corporate transactions and financial restructurings. He provides tax advice to a range of clients in the corporate and private capital sector across Europe, the Middle East and the US, including sovereign investors, private credit and investment management matters.
Prior to joining Akin, Samir qualified as both a lawyer and a chartered accountant and practiced as a Tax Manager at one of the ‘Big Four’ accounting firms.
