Shaina is an associate in the litigation practice, where she advises clients on a range of litigation matters including civil litigation, government investigations and white collar defense.
Shaina received her J.D. cum laude from American University Washington College of Law, where she served as a senior staff member of the American University Law Review, a student attorney for the Decarceration & Re-Entry Clinic, and a teaching fellow for the Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project. During law school, she served as a legal extern with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Criminal Division, Fraud Section as well as a law clerk for the U.S. the House of Representatives Committee on Oversight & Reform, Minority Staff. Shaina was a member of Akin’s 2024 summer associate class.
She holds an M.A. in International Business from the University of Florida Hough Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in Business Administration, with a minor in Economics from the University of Florida Heavener School of Business.
