Biography
Sherry Fu is a counsel in Akin's Hong Kong office.
- Focuses on cross-border mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets transactions, shareholder activism, corporate governance and general securities law compliance.
- Experienced in Hong Kong public transactions, including public takeovers, privatizations and PIPE (private investment in public equity) transactions.
Sherry is a counsel in Akin’s Hong Kong office, focusing on public mergers & acquisitions (M&A), equity capital markets transactions, shareholder activism, corporate governance and general securities law compliance. She has been involved in a range of corporate matters, including public takeovers, privatizations, post-listing regulatory compliance, and equity and debt financing transactions.
Prior to joining Akin, Sherry was a counsel at a leading US law firm.
Representative Work
- Advised Centurium Capital, Temasek and True Light on their proposal to delist ANE (Cayman) Inc. from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
- Advised the offeror consortium comprising Starwood Capital Group, Sixth Street, SSW Partners, QIA, Warburg Pincus and Founders of ESR Group Limited (ESR), on the take-private of ESR.
- Advised PAG on its take-private of Shandong Fengxiang Co., Ltd.
- Advised JD Property on its take-private of China Logistics Property Holdings Co., Ltd.
- Advised the offeror consortium comprising Ocean Link Partners and Sequoia Capital China on the take-private of Zhejiang New Century Hotel Management Co., Ltd.
- Advised Loyal Valley Capital on its take-private of O-Net Technologies (Group) Limited.
- Advised GLP on its take-private of Li & Fung Limited.
- Advised Car Inc. on its takeover by MBK and its issue of convertible bonds to MBK.
- Advised Skyworth Group Limited on its share buy-back offers and its delisting through share buy-back scheme and listing of its photovoltaic business through distribution in specie.
