Stella represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on a broad array of complex business transactions. Her practice encompasses mergers and acquisitions (M&A), leveraged buyouts, divestitures, carve-outs, cross-border acquisitions, corporate governance and general corporate advice. Prior to joining Akin, Stella served as counsel at another global law firm.
With clients across a range of industries, including those in the technology sector, Stella advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on the full transaction lifecycle.
She also represents clients on cross-border matters spanning the United States, Asia and Europe, including transactions involving Korean conglomerate clients and multijurisdictional diligence work. Stella brings an in-house perspective to deal execution from her secondment inside a private equity sponsor, along with fluency in representations and warranties insurance processes.
- Advised a publicly traded cybersecurity company on its acquisition of an identity security software startup.
- Advised Korean conglomerates in various transactions, including U.S. acquisitions, investments and divestitures.
- Advised a New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)-listed global packaging manufacturer on the sale of an international business unit to a strategic acquirer.
- Represented a technology services company in its acquisition of a publicly traded information technology (IT) services provider.
- Represented a digital technology consulting firm in a growth investment from a private investment holding company.
- Represented a technology-focused private equity firm on multiple transactions, including the take-private of a publicly traded fitness software company and growth investments in two enterprise software businesses.
