Talia is an associate in the firm’s financial restructuring practice. She represents debtors, creditors and other stakeholders in complex restructuring transactions, chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and related matters.
Prior to joining Akin, Talia was a restructuring associate at another international law firm based in New York City.
Talia earned her J.D. from William & Mary Law School, where she served as an editor for the William & Mary Law Review.
- Yellow Corporation: Counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the chapter 11 cases of Yellow Corporation, an American-based trucking and transportation services company that operated one of the largest less-than-truckload networks in North America, involving over $1.2 billion of liabilities.
- Franchise Group: Counsel to the independent director and sole member of the conflicts committee in the chapter 11 cases of Franchise Group, a holding company that owns and operates major retail franchise companies, involving over $1.9 billion in liabilities.
- Edgio, Inc.: Counsel to the first lien secured term lender in the chapter 11 cases of Edgio, Inc., a global software solutions provider, involving over $368 million in liabilities.
