- Advises global fund managers, sponsors, investors, operators and other market participants in complex fund-related transactions.
Twaji has deep experience in representing established and first-time fund sponsors in all stages of operations, including fund formation, regulatory compliance and operational matters. He also counsels institutional investors in connection with their investments in private investment funds.
Prior to joining Akin, Twaji worked in the funds group of a global law firm based in Chicago and also worked as the associate general counsel and deputy compliance officer of a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registered investment adviser that focused on credit strategies.
Twaji received a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and a B.A. in political science from Georgetown University. Twaji is admitted to practice in New York and Texas.
