Vera advises clients on a wide variety of corporate transactions and governance matters. Prior to joining Akin, Vera was a private equity and M&A associate at another leading global law firm in New York.
Vera received her J.D. with honors from George Washington University Law School, where she was a George Washington Scholar and a member of The George Washington Law Review. Vera also holds an M.P.P. from the University of Chicago, where she was a Bartlett Fellow, and a B.A. in economics and foreign affairs from the University of Virginia.

- Advised Compass Inc. on its acquisition of Christie’s International Real Estate and properties.
- Advised L Catterton on its acquisition of a majority stake in [solidcore].
- Advised Waters Corporation on its $39 billion combination with BD’s Biosciences & Diagnostics Business.
- Advised Accenture Inc. in its acquisition of a majority stake in DLB Associates.
- Advised Kohlberg & Company on its majority investment in Resa Power.
- Advised Owens & Minor on its proposed $1.36 billion acquisition of Rotech Healthcare Holdings Inc.
- Advised Lexitas in its $415 million sale of Registered Agent Solutions Inc. to Wolters Kluwer.
