Amy Kennedy Speaks at ELFA Workshop on ESG Disclosure

Akin Gump corporate partner Amy Kennedy spoke at a recent workshop co-sponsored by the European Leveraged Finance Association (ELFA) and Principles for Responsible Investment on disclosure of environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics.
Held on November 12, the ESG Disclosure Workshop brought together representatives from each key stakeholder group involved in executing leveraged finance transactions. Kennedy, who represents top-tier private equity sponsors in leveraged buyouts, served as both a participant and a break-out moderator.
Smaller group discussions centered around key points and proposals made in the ELFA’s draft Guide for Company Advisers to ESG Disclosure in Leveraged Finance Transactions, written by a working group of law firms coordinated by the ELFA, and including Kennedy on behalf of Akin Gump. The group plans to incorporate insights gained from the event into a revised draft of the Guide.
