Akin Gump’s partner in charge of the Beijing office Bill Rosoff was interviewed for the article “Distinctively Distinguished” by Global Times, a leading Beijing-based English-language online periodical.

In a wide-ranging interview, Rosoff discussed his background and career in law and business—he was SVP and general counsel at RJR Nabisco and Marsh & McLennan; his China background—he has a Ph.D. in Asian history and studied Chinese law at Harvard Law School; his arrival at Akin Gump (“the firm asked me if I would be interested in moving out here and leading the office. Needless to say, it took me about three seconds to say that I would do it.”); his plans for the Beijing office; and the outlook for the U.S.-China business relationship.

Bill Rosoff’s bio can be read here.
