Law360, in its article “4 Ways Brexit Could Shape The US Real Estate Landscape,” quoted Akin Gump real estate partner Hushmand Sohaili on how the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union could affect real estate markets.

Regarding the possibility that Brexit-related uncertainty in the U.K. could move investors away from British real estate, Sohaili said, “It makes investments in U.S. assets that much more desirable. Especially U.S. commercial real estate. The prices and yields are better than [those in] London and it does not have the uncertainty—and potential loss of jobs—that you have in London.”
