LA Business Journal Names Frank Reddick “Business Angel of the Year”
(Los Angeles) – Akin Gump is proud to share that its late partner Frank Reddick was awarded Business Angel of the Year honors by Los Angeles Business Journal at its virtual Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship 2022 Awards ceremony.
The award was accepted by partner Carlos Bermudez, who spoke movingly about Mr. Reddick’s commitment to, and pro bono work for, the KIPP SoCal Public Schools, among other nonprofits, in Southern California.
The event is held to “to shine a spotlight on the impactful and often heroic work performed by the nonprofit organizations, philanthropic companies, and individual leaders, volunteers and donors in the Greater Los Angeles community.”

It then focuses on his deep concern and care for both the firm, noting his work as a mentor to many, and the greater community, including his pro bono work.
