Akin Gump international trade partner Mahmoud Fadlallah has been quoted in the Bloomberg story “Why Trump Might Target Iran’s Revolutionary Guard: QuickTake Q&A,” which looks at the question of whether President Trump might list the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution, popularly known as the “Revolutionary Guard,” as a terrorist organization. Doing so, the article reports, would have economic, political and geopolitical implications.

Regarding how such a terrorist designation might affect business with Iran, the article notes that companies would become more nervous than they already are about doing business there. Fadlallah said a terrorist label “ups the reputational concern for companies looking to deal with Iran.”
