Marissa Román Griffith Named One of Los Angeles Business Journal’s Most Influential Minority Attorneys

(Los Angeles) – Akin Gump partner Marissa Román Griffith has been named by the Los Angeles Business Journal to its list of Most Influential Minority Attorneys.

The Business Journal notes that Ms. Griffith is among “the very few senior Latina attorneys in private practice specializing in media and entertainment transactions” and highlights her work handling multimillion-dollar deals for financiers, borrowers, distributors and others in different aspects of the production, financing and distribution of film, TV and digital content.

Ms. Griffith is cited for some of her recent successes, including her work on behalf of Media Rights Capital (MRC) and its affiliates in connection with MRC’s financing activities in film and television, as well as on its JPMorgan-led credit facility.

Last month, Latino Leaders Magazine named Ms. Griffith to its 2019 Top Latino Lawyers list, the latest in a string of recognitions she has received from entertainment and legal publications. (Click here to learn more.)
