Ruben Muñoz, Gechi Tesic, Melissa Whitaker Picked to Participate in Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Programs

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump is pleased to announce that three of its lawyers have been selected by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to participate in the organization’s landmark programs.
Akin Gump Philadelphia partner in charge Ruben Muñoz was selected to be a member of the 2020 class of LCLD Fellows and will participate in a year-long, in-depth program focused on, among other things, relationship-building, in-person training and peer-group projects.
Dallas investment management counsel Gechi Tesic and D.C. litigation counsel Melissa Whitaker were chosen as members of the 2020 class of LCLD Pathfinders and will participate in a program designed to train high-performing, early-career attorneys in career development strategies.
LCLD is an organization of more than 320 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who have dedicated themselves to creating a diverse U.S. legal profession through action programs designed to attract, inspire and nurture the talent in society and within member organizations, thereby helping a new and more diverse generation of attorneys ascend to positions of leadership.
