Stacey Mitchell Named to Environmental Law Institute’s Leadership Council

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump environment and natural resources partner Stacey Mitchell has been named to the Leadership Council of the Environmental Law Institute (ELI).

The ELI Leadership Council is the Institute’s group for the most prominent environment, energy, and natural resource leaders in the nation. It recognizes leaders “for their commitment of resources and time to the Institute’s vision of a healthy environment, prosperous economies, and vibrant communities founded on the rule of law.”

Ms. Mitchell, who advises clients on a wide range of environmental regulatory matters, including enforcement defense, internal investigations, litigation and transactional matters, is a former deputy general counsel at the Environmental Protection Agency. She also previously served as chief of the Environmental Crimes Section at the Department of Justice.
