State Bar of Texas Asian Pacific Interest Section to Recognize Alison Chen as 2020 Champion of Diversity

(Houston) – The Asian Pacific Interest Section (APIS) of the State Bar of Texas has selected Akin Gump tax partner Alison Chen as its 2020 Champion of Diversity.

The Champion of Diversity is “an individual whose actions and activities within the legal profession facilitate diversity in the hiring, retention, and promotion of attorneys and in the elevation of attorneys to leadership positions within their organizations. Diversity Champions are critical for creating lasting change within organizations and establishing an inclusive work environment.”

The award winners will be recognized during APIS’s 25th Annual Conference in Austin on April 3.

Last July, in recognition of her diversity efforts, Ms. Chen was named among Texas Lawyer’s Diversity and Inclusion Champions. (Click here to learn more.)
