For its article “Obama's $98B Transpo Budget Unlikely To Gain Traction,” Law360 interviewed Akin Gump transportation partner Susan Lent on the Obama administration’s proposed $98.1 billion FY17 budget for the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Lent, whose practice focuses on compliance with federal transportation laws and regulations, said that, given the requests and carveouts in the president’s budget, the consensus is that it will not get any traction with the GOP-controlled Congress, particularly in an election year.
