The OverRuled: Russia Trade Controls Resource Center has been updated with the following actions:
- 25 Mar 2024 (OFAC):
OFAC designated eighteen entities and two individuals, under E.O. 14024, for operating in the Russian financial services and technology sectors. Five of these entities were designated for being owned or controlled by OFAC-designated persons. According to OFAC, these entities and individuals facilitated transactions or offered other services that helped OFAC-designated entities evade sanctions, including by helping build or operate blockchain-based services for, or enabling virtual currency payments in, the Russian financial sector.
- 25 Mar 2024 (EU):
The European Commission updated its Russia FAQs in respect of State-Owned Enterprises and complying with Article 5aa of Council Regulation (EU) No. 833/2014.
- 22 Mar 2024 (Switzerland):
Switzerland has amended the lists of sanctioned persons and entities and amended the descriptions of certain luxury goods and products containing gold, which are subject to trade sanctions.
