On July 5, 2023, Jaeyoun Jung ("Respondent") agreed to a two-year suspended denial order as part of a Settlement Agreement with BIS in relation to one violation of the Export Administration Regulations ("Regulations"). Specifically, on one occasion on or about October 3, 2018, the Respondent exported from the United States to South Korea 0A987.e optical magnifiers, worth a total of $10,947, without the required BIS license (§ 764.2(a)). The Settlement Agreement does not involve a monetary penalty, but requires that Respondent complete an export compliance training on the Regulations within twelve months. The Settlement Agreement does not indicate whether the Respondent filed a voluntary self-disclosure.
