The Office of Trade Sanctions Implementation ("OTSI") issued a blog post to demonstrate how good due diligence practices in a case involving financial services can prevent breaches of UK trade sanctions measures, such as those imposed by the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (the "Russia Regulations").

The Ministry of Commerce announced sanctions against five U.S. subsidiaries of Hanwha Ocean, the South Korean shipbuilder formerly known as Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, for assisting and supporting the U.S. government in conducting the Section 301 investigation and imposing measures against China's maritime, logistics, and shipbuilding industries.
