The OverRuled: China Trade Controls Resource Center has been updated with the following actions:
- 14 May 2025 (OFAC):
OFAC imposed sanctions on twelve entities and six individuals based in the PRC, Hong Kong, and Iran, pursuant to EO 13382, for their involvement in supporting Iran's efforts to indigenize the manufacturing of carbon fiber for use in Iran's ballistic missile program. This action is in furtherance of National Security Presidential Memorandum-2, which directs the imposition of maximum economic pressure on the Iranian regime.
- 14 May 2025 (China - Measures and Countermeasures):
The Ministry of Commerce announced a pause to the restricted measures under April 4 Unreliable Entity List designations for 90 days, and those under April 9 Unreliable Entity List designations without specifying the duration of the pause.
