- 16 May 2025 - Arlando Torres - Denial Order; No monetary penalty
BIS issued against Arlando Torres (“Respondent”) a Denial Order for a period of 10 years in relation to his conviction for violating 18 U.S.C. § 554(a). Specifically, Respondent was convicted of smuggling and attempting to smuggle 1,680 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition, 1,000 rounds of 10mm ammunition, 3,200 rounds of 7.62x39mm ammunition, and 50 rounds of 7.62x25mm ammunition from the United States to Mexico. The Order went into effect on Respondent’s date of conviction on March 1, 2023. BIS did not impose any monetary penalty.
- 16 May 2025 - Osmani Valdivia Perez - Denial Order; No monetary penalty
BIS issued against Osmani Valdivia Perez (“Respondent”) a Denial Order for a period of 7 years in relation to his conviction for violatiing 18 U.S.C. § 371. Specifically, Respondent was convicted of conspiring to export stolen vessel parts, specifically outboard engines, from the United States to Mexico. The Order went into effect on Respondent’s date of conviction on May 19, 2023. BIS did not impose any monetary penalty.
- 16 May 2025 - Carlos Orlando Ledesma - Denial Order; No monetary penalty
BIS issued against Carlos Orlando Ledesma (“Respondent”) a Denial Order for a period of 7 years in relation to his conviction for violating 18 U.S.C. § 371. Specifically, Respondent was convicted of conspiring to export stolen boat engines and parts from the United States to Mexico. The Order went into effect on Respondent’s date of conviction on May 23, 2023. BIS did not impose any monetary penalty.
- 16 May 2025 - Steve Trevino - Denial Order; No monetary penalty
BIS issued against Steve Trevino (“Respondent”) a Denial Order for a period of 10 years in relation to his conviction for violating 18 U.S.C. § 554(a). Specifically, Respondent was convicted of smuggling firearms from the United States to Mexico. The Order went into effect on Respondent’s date of conviction on December 19, 2023. BIS did not impose any monetary penalty.
- 16 May 2025 - Sergey Karpushkin - Denial Order; No monetary penalty
BIS issued against Sergey Karpushkin (“Respondent”) a Denial Order for a period of 10 years in relation to his conviction for violating 18 U.S.C. § 371. Specifically, Respondent was convicted of conspiring to purchase and receive over $139 million in metal products from companies owned by a sanctioned oligarch. The Order went into effect on Respondent’s date of conviction on April 17, 2024. BIS did not impose any monetary penalty.
