(New York) – Akin advised Apollo-managed funds in a definitive agreement to acquire a minority interest in Apex Service Partners (Apex), the nation’s largest residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical services business. Apollo-managed funds will partner with Apex’s management team and existing investor, Alpine Investors, which is making an additional investment in Apex to support the company’s continued growth. 

The Akin team was led by head of the firm’s U.S. private equity practice Gerald Brant, private equity partners Jeffrey Kochian and Brittany Harrison and senior counsel Erika Cohen.
