Cablefax Selects Two at Akin Gump for Top Lawyers Awards

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump communications practice head Tom Davidson and partner Jennifer Richter have been selected as honorees for Cablefax’s inaugural Top Lawyers Awards. Davidson and Richter are among a group of more than 50 lawyers chosen for the awards, which recognize “the incredible legal minds addressing cable and broadband’s toughest issues.”

Speaking about some of the top issues facing media, Davidson noted the relaxation of media ownership rules and the elimination of outdated regulations. Richter said she has been busy working on policies and regulations involving drones.

Cablefax said the winners, who were identified by the publication’s editors and readers, “excel in contract negotiations, M&A, the intricacies of the FCC, intellectual property, spectrum issues and more.” Winners will be honored at an awards dinner on March 22 in Washington, D.C.
