(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump is pleased to announce that three of its lawyers have been selected by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to participate in the organization’s landmark programs.

Akin Gump international trade partner Jaelyn Judelson was selected to be a member of the 2022 class of LCLD Fellows. Fellows undertake an intensive, yearlong professional development program that mentors the legal industry’s diverse leaders of tomorrow. Designed for lawyers with eight to 15 years of experience, the program connects high-potential attorneys with leading general counsel and managing partners, and their peers for mentoring and career guidance.

Litigation counsel Erica Holland and corporate counsel Kevin Tsai were selected as members of the 2022 class of LCLD Pathfinders, a seven-month professional program designed to train high-performing, early-career attorneys on foundational leadership and relationship-building. The program provides participants with the opportunity to learn from top leaders in the legal profession along with experts in the fields of learning and development and executive coaching.

Founded in 2009, LCLD actively promotes diversity and inclusion in the legal profession through initiatives aimed at advancing a new generation of leaders. Its members are either general counsel of corporations or managing partners of law firms who join individually on behalf of their respective organizations.

Akin Gump is an active supporter of LCLD. Its participation in the Fellows program first began in 2013, when Akin Gump litigation partner Estela Díaz was selected as the firm’s first Fellow (learn more here). Most recently, corporate partner Meng Ru participated as a Fellow, and litigation senior counsel Roxanne Tizravesh and investment management counsel Amanda Butler-Jones participated as Pathfinders (learn more here).
