(New York) – Akin Gump is proud to announce that corporate partner Kerry Berchem has been named Corporate Governance Lawyer of the Year at the Euromoney Women in Business Law Americas awards ceremony, held on September 29.

According to the publication, the awards recognize the region’s “leading women for their contributions to the practice of business law” based on their “professional accomplishments as well as advocacy and influence within her field” in the previous year.

Earlier this year, Ms. Berchem was named among the Top Women Dealmakers by The Deal and, in December 2020, Crain’s New York Business named her among its Notable Women in Law. To read more about these recognitions, click here and here.
