Ben Marsico's practice focuses on advising companies and private funds in debt financings, including leveraged buyouts, asset-backed facilities, fund financings, acquisitions, syndicated facilities and other debt financing solutions.
Prior to joining Akin, Ben was a debt finance associate for an international law firm in Boston.
He earned his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. During law school, Ben was an article and notes editor for the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal and served as an intern for the Honorable Max O. Cogburn of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
- A $375 million asset-backed facility for a clothing manufacturer, importer and distributor.
- Subscription credit facilities for a market-leading middle-market lender with $75 billion in assets under management.
- A direct-lending fund in a secured $50 million term loan to a radiology practice, completed in tandem with a reorganization to comply with corporate practice of medicine laws in the event of a future sale to a sponsor.
- A public company in a $45 million USD and Euro borrowing to finance the purchase of a European company.
- A credit facility backed by the Export-Import Bank of the United States.
