Biography
  • Practice concentrates on U.K. and cross-border insolvency, workouts and restructurings.

Caoimhe advises hedge funds, bondholders, bank and institutional investors on cross-border and domestic financial restructurings, workouts and insolvency.

Representative Work
  • OQ Chemicals: Counsel to the ad hoc group of lenders to the OQ Chemicals Group, one of the world's largest suppliers of oxo chemicals, on the Group's holistic recapitalisation, and amendment of its credit facilities.
  • Hurtigruten: Counsel to the ad hoc group of lenders on the refinancing of Hurtigruten AS, a Norwegian cruise line and coastal ferry business.
  • Digicel: Counsel to an ad hoc committee of holders on exchange offers made in respect of bonds issued by Digicel Group Holdings Limited.
  • GenesisCare: Counsel to an ad hoc group of unaffiliated lenders on a potential restructuring or recapitalisation of GenesisCare, a global healthcare provider specialising in cancer treatment.
  • Baxters: Counsel to a private placement noteholder on the amendments of senior secured notes issued by Baxters Food Group Limited, and refinincing of those notes.
  • intu Metrocentre: Counsel to the ad hoc committee of holders on the restructuring of £485 million in notes issued by intu Metrocentre Finance plc against the intu Metrocentre shopping centre and adjacent retail park in the United Kingdom.
  • Cruise & Maritime Voyages: Counsel to the sole senior lender in respect of its loans to Cruise & Maritime Voyages, a cruise line business, including in relation to security enforcement.
  • Dolphin Drilling: Counsel to the largest lender on the financial restructuring of Dolphin Drilling ASA (fka Fred. Olsen Energy ASA), an offshore drilling rig company headquartered in Aberdeen, Scotland.
  • Sea Trucks: Counsel to Nordic Trustee on the $600 million bond restructuring of the Sea Trucks Group, a provider of offshore installation, accommodation and marine support services to the oil & gas industry.
  • Frigoglass: Counsel to an ad hoc group of bondholders on the financial restructuring of Frigoglass, a Greek-listed glass and refrigeration business, involving a new capital injection and debt-for-equity swap implemented through a scheme of arrangement in the UK.
  • Lansbanki: Counsel to an ad hoc committee of bondholders regarding the winding up of Lansbanki, one of the three major Icelandic commercial banks that collapsed in 2008.
  • Noreco: Counsel to Nordic Trustee, on behalf of bondholders, on the financial restructuring of Norwegian-listed Noreco ASA, one of the first exploration and production restructurings following the downturn in oil prices.
  • Tensator: Counsel to the private placement noteholders on the administration sale of Tensator Group, a manufacturer of queueing barriers and systems.
