She regularly advises sponsors, investors and operating businesses on acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, financings, and internal reorganizations. Her practice centers on sponsor‑side U.S. federal income tax planning, including treaty‑based and inbound investment structures, and the tax aspects of domestic and cross‑border mergers and acquisitions. She has experience advising sponsors and investors on fund secondary transactions, including GP‑led restructurings and portfolio sales, and the related tax structuring considerations.
Prior to joining the firm, Julie was an associate at an international law firm, where she advised clients on the tax aspects of domestic and cross‑border M&A and investment fund transactions. She previously served as a senior tax associate at Deloitte Tax LLP, advising clients on tax matters arising in connection with mergers and acquisitions.
