- Advises in government investigations and other regulatory actions, as well as in financial restructuring matters.
- Represents investment funds and private equity firm clients in relation to civil litigation; portfolio company disputes and investment-related actions; and compliance advice.
Kendall assists clients facing urgent, high-stakes government investigations and other regulatory scrutiny. He also represents private equity firm clients and investment funds in a broad range of litigation matters, including complex civil litigation and arbitration, and corporate governance and compliance matters. Kendall also advises in financial restructuring matters.
Earlier in his career, Kendall served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ancer L. Haggerty of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon and the Honorable James L. Dennis of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
While studying at the New York University School of Law, Kendall was book annotations editor for the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics.
- Secured settlement for private equity firm client in contentious arbitration between investment fund managers.
- Obtained affirmance on appeal before the Eleventh Circuit of the dismissal of claims against a major international logistics company brought by former employee in connection with company's stock compensation plan.
- Represented large retailer in internal investigation related to bribery and kickback allegations.
- Representing international financial institution related government-facing investigations related to anti-money laundering.
- Representing a major international logistics company alleged to have committed a fraudulent transfer in connection with a $3 billion out-of-court financial restructuring.
- Representing cannabis company in derivative litigation in Delaware Chancery Court in connection with consensual strict foreclosure transaction.
- Representing investment firms and individuals as defendants in multi-million dollar contractual disputes in Delaware Chancery Court.
