Lance is an associate in the firm’s corporate practice. He has experience advising lenders and borrowers on a range of financing transactions, and advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in mergers & acquisitions (M&A).
Lance joined Akin after serving as a summer law clerk and Robert S. Strauss Scholar in the firm’s New York office. Prior to law school, he spent three years at Duff & Phelps, where he focused on business valuation and financial analysis, and completed a summer internship in middle market banking at J.P. Morgan.
Lance earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where he participated in the Zell Entrepreneurship Clinic and the Henry M. Campbell Moot Court Competition. He holds a B.S. cum laude in finance and information systems from the University of Maryland.
