Biography
- Advises a variety of investment funds and multinational corporations across sectors on a variety of corporate areas, including cross-border M&A, financial restructuring and equity capital markets transactions.
Shahnur is an associate in the corporate practice of Akin’s London office.
His practice concentrates on cross-border mergers & acquisitions (M&A),private equity transactions and financial restructuring transactions.
Representative Work
- Advised a private credit fund on an enforcement transaction to take control of a company owing £500+ million in debt.
- Counsel to an ad hoc group of Class A creditors holding over £13 billion in the recapitalization of Thames Water, the U.K.’s largest water and wastewater company.
- Advised a private equity fund on a distribution in specie to its limited partners of U.K.-listed public company shares.
