(New York) – Akin Gump represented OpenAI in its multiyear, multibillion-dollar investment from Microsoft. The investment allows OpenAI to continue its independent research and develop artificial intelligence, or AI, that is increasingly safe, useful and powerful.

This agreement marks the third phase of the tech giant’s long-term partnership with OpenAI and follows its previous investments in 2019 and 2021.
