(New York) – Rocket Lawyer today announced a major growth capital financing of $223 million, led by Vista Credit Partners (“VCP”), a strategic credit investor and financing partner focused on the enterprise software, data, and technology markets. A team from Akin Gump advised VCP in the transaction.

Rocket Lawyer and Vista will collaborate to scale the Rocket Legal Cloud™ platform to meet the strong and accelerating demand for the company’s natively digital tools of justice.

The Akin Gump team advising VCP was led by Dan Fisher, leader of the firm’s integrated special situations group, and fellow corporate partner Ryan Cox. Finance aspects of the transaction were handled by partners Fred Lee and Matt Bivona.

Earlier this year, Akin Gump advised VCP in a financing of Premise Data. The firm also advised VCP in other financings in 2020, including of Afiniti and TripActions.
