Akin Gump Launches Podcast Series “OnAir with Akin Gump”

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump is pleased to announce the debut of its podcast series OnAir with Akin Gump. The series will feature the thinking and insights of Akin Gump’s lawyers and advisors on topics of interest to those in the business and legal communities around the world. Commentaries on headline-making stories, viewpoints on interesting trends, and looks over the horizon at upcoming opportunities and challenges—all these and more are featured in this series.
The series launched with “U.S. Sanctions and Their Impact on Non-U.S. Businesses,” a conversation with Akin Gump international trade partners Mahmoud Baki “Mac” Fadlallah, Jasper Helder and Wynn Segall. The three partners, working in Dubai, London and Washington, D.C., respectively, discussed, among other topics, the Trump administration’s use of sanctions as a policy tool, U.S. and European approaches to Russia and Iran sanctions, and the potential impact of extraterritoriality and secondary sanctions on non-U.S. businesses.
