Akin Gump Houston partner in charge Christine LaFollette has been selected to The National Law Journal’s third annual list of Energy & Environmental Trailblazers, which recognizes outstanding work in the areas of energy and environmental law.
In its published profile of Ms. LaFollette, NLJ spotlighted her successful representation of Baker Hughes, Inc., the world’s third-largest oilfield services provider, in its $6.9 billion stock and cash purchase of BJ Services Co.—called the largest oilfield-services takeover at the time by Bloomberg News.
